Public Administration and the Challenges for the next decade: diagnoses, proposals and analyzes

ON

SBAP is a non-profit civil association that aims to develop Public Administration as an autonomous discipline, as well as promoting ethics and good management practices in the public sector, bringing together organizations, postgraduate programs, academics and Administration professionals Public in Brazil.

Among its actions, one can highlight the holding of National Meetings, spaces for in-depth discussions that guide the context in which the Society operates. In previous years, editions were held in the cities of Natal (2013 and 2015), Florianópolis (2016), João Pessoa (2017), Viçosa (2018) and Salvador (2019). In 2020, the event should have been held in the city of Brasília, but, due to the pandemic, it was given a virtual version. Since then, it has had a partnership with the Brazilian Institute of Education, Development and Research (IDP), through its Professional Master's in Public Administration program.

Thus, we arrive at VIII EBAP, considering that the tasks posed to Public Administration require measures that are capable of responding to the challenges related to the health crisis and the restrictive measures resulting from it, to the impasses for social and economic development and, certainly, realign the agenda of studies in this field of knowledge.

Considering this context, the VIII EBAP will seek, in all its discussions, to point out aspects that help researchers, scholars and technicians and practitioners (practitioners) to think about the scenario for the next decade. The event will be held on November 3rd to 5th, 2021, in the city of Brasília, in virtual mode.
