AREAS OF INTEREST
The IDP Curriculum is interdisciplinary. The Program has 4 Areas of Interest, which allow students from different backgrounds to delve into useful knowledge for their academic and professional career.
The student has complete freedom to move between the 4 areas, choosing the subjects that seem most interesting for their career and for their academic and personal life.
ECONOMY, INSTITUTIONS AND DEVELOPMENT
The objective of Area of Interest 1 is to analyze and understand the main determinants of economic development, as well as the role of the State in this process.
LAW AND ECONOMICS
The main objective of area 2 is to present the student with a set of theories and instruments that allow them to see the legal system and the implementation of public policies from a new perspective, as well as understand and reflect on their legal, economic and social consequences.
FINANCE AND BANKING
Area of interest 3 seeks to provide a solid background in economic theory, public and private finance and the financial system. To this end, the most recent theories and applications in the field of credit, currency and interest policies are presented, as well as the tools and instruments commonly used in financial administration and project evaluation.
REGULATION AND COMPETITION
Area of Interest 4 is part of the debate regarding the State that regulates and promotes economic development in the context of a free market economy. The area seeks to provide students with a set of theoretical and practical knowledge that allows them to understand the logic behind state intervention through regulation, as well as reflect on its consequences on agents' behavior.
