What is the difference between a professional who is successful in their career and one who is not? What distinguishes those who reap the rewards of recognition and prosperity from those who never achieve professional fulfillment? Effort, dedication, hours of reading, participation in activities proposed by the college and many other attributes can be mentioned, but there are some elements that also need to be highlighted. Successful people set goals for themselves and make plans to achieve them; They constantly reassess whether they are on the right path, they do not let opportunities pass them by, they are always attentive to take advantage of the best options and learning possibilities. With all of this in mind, the IDP Public Law Institute created the Career Center – Center for Careers and Excellence: an initiative that helps the student body prepare for a successful career in the various areas of law and administration.
Taking into account the many knowledge and skills that are acquired during the undergraduate period, the Career Center mediates between students and the job market with the aim of enhancing the construction of a professional identity, in addition to presenting the various career possibilities to be had. be followed. To this end, we provide personalized services that aim to help students set goals and plans for their careers, take advantage of the best learning opportunities, and seek opportunities to put their theoretical and legal knowledge into practice. Like what happens in the most renowned American and European universities, the Career Center centralizes initiatives to prepare students for entry into the job market, offering lectures, workshops, training, mock interviews and counseling.
Professor Raquel Cândido has been a lawyer since 2000, and has built her professional life experiencing various opportunities that her Bachelor's degree in Law made possible. Did his LL. M from American University, Washington College of Law and had her master's degree recognized by the University of Brasília. She was part of the honorable team of advisors to Minister Celso de Mello at the STF between 2004 and 2008. She participated in the Program on Negotiation at Harvard University in 2014. She is also a Coach trained in the EVO Method, a Master Career Coach from the Maurício Sampaio Institute and a Master Life and Executive Coach formed by the Coaching Club.
