Monique Sochaczewski Goldfeld
PhD in History, Politics and Cultural Goods from Fundação Getulio Vargas (2012), and completed a post-doctoral internship at the same institution (2014). She is a professor on the permanent staff of the Professional Master's Degree in Law, Justice and Development at the Brazilian Institute of Education, Development and Research - IDP. He taught for years at FGV, where he coordinated the MBA in International Relations, as well as in the Postgraduate Program in Military Sciences at the Army Command and General Staff School (ECEME), and in higher education institutions such as PUC-Rio, Unilasalle and Catholic University of Petrópolis. She also served as Academic and Project Coordinator of the Brazilian Center for International Relations (CEBRI) from 2018 to 2020 and is Co-Founder of the Study and Research Group on the Middle East (GEPOM), an intellectual cooperative dedicated to research, teaching and debates on the history and current affairs of the Middle East. She is the author of the books "Oriental Tropics/Tropical Orients: Reflections on Brazil and the Middle East" (Rio de Janeiro: Talu Cultural, 2019) and "From Rio de Janeiro to Istanbul: Contrasts and Connections between Brazil and the Ottoman Empire ( 1850-1919)" (Brasília: FUNAG, 2017), as well as a fellow at the Summer Institute for Israel Studies, at Brandeis University (USA). She is also a Collaborating Professor at the Jean Monnet Center of Excellence at the FGV-Rio Law School, and also gives lectures for the Naval War School. He has extensive experience in the areas of History and International Relations, with a particular interest in issues related to Global History, Public History, Jewish History, the Middle East and North Africa and the South Caucasus, as well as Gender and Migration. He has contributed opinion pieces and current analysis to Rádio CBN, Globonews, Band News, TV Brasil, O Estado de São Paulo, Folha de São Paulo, O Globo and Zero Hora, among others.
