The film, which won several film awards and even won best film at the Oscars, tells the story of a group of journalists who investigate the abuse of children by Catholic priests.
Rachel McAdams, Mark Rufallo and Micheal Keaton are some of the names in the cast of the film that shows how journalists managed to gather documents that prove the crimes committed and the involvement of religious leaders who tried to hide the cases.

The Scandal

Charlize Theron, Nicolle Kidman and Margot Robbie play three journalists who came together to denounce the former CEO of a news channel for sexual harassment. It could be a fictional script, but the film tells the real story of the journalists who, through denunciation, managed to remove Roger Ailes from his position as CEO of Fox News.
Launched in 2019 in the USA, it arrived in Brazil via the Amazon Prime streaming service and shows how the entire reporting process happened. From the decision-making, through the repercussions and maneuvers to discredit the victims and reaching the outcome that resulted in the abuser's dismissal.

You probably remember the WikiLeaks website and all the worldwide repercussion it gained with its accusations and leaks. The page was founded by Julian Assange together with his friend Daniel Domscheit-Berg who together managed to turn the site into a large platform for breaking news.
Benedict Cumberbatch - a name you certainly know 😉 - gives life to the founder of WikiLeaks in this film that chronicles the creation and rise of the website that took over the world but ended up costing its creator other things.

The true story

The 2015 film tells the story of Michael Finkel, a journalist for the New York Times , who lost his job after it was discovered that he had not been completely honest in one of his reports.
After being fired, the journalist discovers that he was a victim of identity theft: a man accused of killing his own family, Christian Logo, assumes the name Finkel upon arrest. Seeking to rebuild his reputation, the journalist meets with Longo to listen and tell the accused's story.

The Post: The secret war

The clash between newspapers and government has been going on for many years and in several countries and it is not new that we know about the impacts that journalism can cause . The Post's script brought to video the story of the editors of the Washington Post during 1971.
The duo Katharine Graham and Ben Bradlee risk their careers and freedom to expose government secrets with classified data and documents. Considered as one of the best films, The Post stars Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks.
