This week, the IDP School of Management, Economics and Business (EGEN) opens registrations for the Empreenda BSB Tournament, a business game that will be promoted by the Institution. What are business games?
It is a competition focused on business management and entrepreneurship, commonly used around the world in large companies and universities. Recently, games have been increasingly adopted in Brazil in business dynamics and college subjects. Although they can follow very different scripts, normally the format adopted is through business simulation software.
The Empreenda BSB Tournament is a business games competition promoted by EGEN/IDP and is currently the only competition of this type open in DF. The event will be held 100% online and the main objective is to involve young people who are interested in being businesspeople and entrepreneurs in a stimulating competition that adds knowledge and experiences to this audience.
In a time as difficult and complex as today, this is a way to bring these students together with relaxation, dynamism and security.
And how will the Empreenda BSB Tournament work?
Anyone studying from the second year of high school to the second semester of college can register. Each person or group of up to 4 components will represent a company. The companies will all be from the same segment and will compete with each other on a daily basis, their success or failure depending on the decisions made by their members.
Rounds of management decisions will be promoted in different areas (marketing, finance, people management, etc.) and all teams will launch their resolutions at the same time as their competitors. And that's where competition begins based on each company's performance in a competitive market that simulates the real context.
The competition will take place between the dates 25/05 to 18/06, being divided into three main stages. Initially, we will provide instructional materials so that no one starts without the necessary knowledge to compete. Then, we will start the competition until we have our finalists who will compete in the final stage of the competition. Thus, the stages of the tournament are: Preparation for the tournament; Classification Phase; Final Dispute.
And what are the prizes?
The winning teams will receive the appropriate prizes and recognition on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place podium, which involve certificates, scholarships and even a financial reward.
1st place - R$4,000.00 + EGEN/IDP Scholarship (50% discount)
2nd place - R$2,000.00 + EGEN/IDP Scholarship (40% discount)
3rd place - R$1,000.00 + EGEN/IDP Scholarship (30% discount)
