Biologist and Master in Ecology and Conservation from the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul. Legislative Consultant to the Chamber of Deputies since 2015, working on environmental and sustainability issues.
Suely Araújo:
Suely Araújo. Urbanist and lawyer, doctor in political science, senior specialist in public policies at the Climate Observatory, professor at the University of Brasília and at the Brazilian Institute of Education, Development and Research (IDP), former president of Ibama.

Juliana dos Santos Almeida Sampaio:
Juliana dos Santos de Almeida Sampaio. Public servant in the federal career of Technical Analyst of Social Policies since 2013, having worked at the Ministry of Social Development and the Ministry of Women, Family and Human Rights. Master in International Social and Public Policies from the London School of Economics and Political Science, she also has a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from the University of São Paulo, and a postgraduate degree in Public Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas. Its activities cover international cooperation, social policies, human rights, public administration, migration and refuge.
André de Lima Madureira:
André has a master's degree in Human Rights from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a master's degree in International Law from the Catholic University of Santos. He is a former lawyer at the Caritas São Paulo Refugee Reference Center and has worked at UNHCR since 2016. He worked as (i) Resettlement Officer in eastern Sudan, on the border with Eritrea, (ii) Protection Officer in Beira, Mozambique , due to the internal displacement caused by Cyclone Idai, and is currently (iii) Protection Officer at the UNHCR national office in Brazil, working in the context of displacement of refugees, including Venezuelan refugees, as well as applicants for refugee status, and stateless persons, to Brazil.
05/25, from 09:20 to 10:20: PARLIAMENTARY DIPLOMACY: ALTERNATIVE SPACE FOR DIALOGUE BETWEEN NATIONS
Fabio Almeida Lopes:
Fabio Almeida Lopes has been a professor, consultant and speaker on politics and the Brazilian legislative process since 2008, working in training courses for new political leaders. A public servant of the National Congress for 20 years, Fabio was Coordinator of Legislative Process and Chief of Staff of party leaders in the Chamber of Deputies between 2005 and 2018. Since then, he has worked in Parliamentary Diplomacy, having been Chief of Staff of the Secretariat of International Relations of the Chamber in 2018 and 2020, and in 2019, he served as National Policy Coordinator at the United Kingdom Embassy in Brazil. In 2021, he served as Secretary of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Federal Senate. Currently, the Chamber's Legislative Consultancy is preparing a proposal for a new Internal Regulation for the House.
Fabio has a bachelor's degree in International Relations (1996) and Chemistry (2006), both from the University of Brasília, and has two postgraduate courses in Legislative Process, from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon (2020) and from the Chamber of Deputies ( 2009).
Juliana Moura Bueno
Special Advisor on Domestic Policy at the United Kingdom Embassy and Master in Public Policy from the University of Oxford (2018).
MPP from the University of Oxford (2018) and bachelor's degree in Social Sciences from the University of Sao Paulo (2012). She was Chief of Staff of the Human Rights Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic (2015-2016) and interim Special Secretary for Human Rights (2016), being the youngest woman in the history of the Federal Government to hold these positions. She developed and coordinated UN Women's “City 50-50: All for Equality” Platform to promote debate on the rights of women and girls in cities during local elections in 2016. She is currently Special Advisor on Domestic Policy at the Embassy of United Kingdom.
05/26, from 09:20 to 10:20: INTERNATIONAL CONFLICTS AND THE ROLE OF DIPLOMACY
Hélio Franchini:
diplomat and historian. He has a doctorate in History from UnB and a master's degree in Political Science from USP. Attended the 65th “Defense Policy” Session of the Institute of Advanced Studies in National Defense, of the French Ministry of Defense (IHEDN). In 2019, he published the book “Independence and Death: politics and war in the emancipation of Brazil”. He is currently deputy head of the Special Advisory for Federative Affairs and with the National Congress of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Ivy Turner:
Ivy Turner is a consultant specializing in project management. With a master's degree in International Relations from the San Tiago Dantas Program (PUCSP-UNESP-UNICAMP) and an MBA in Government Relations from FGV, she worked with international cooperation projects at UNESCO and the OECD and worked as a university professor at UNIEURO.

Marcus Thulio Rocha Bezerra:
Marcus Thulio Rocha Bezerra has a master's degree (LL.M) in International Financial Law from King's College, London. He also has a master's degree in Law from the University of Brasília (FD/UnB). Graduated in Law from the Caruaruense Association of Higher Education (ASCES). He is a regular student of the professional master's degree in Public Administration at Fundação Getúlio Vargas (EBAPE-FGV) since 2021. Federal public servant belonging to the Foreign Trade Analyst career since 2014. Lawyer. He has worked on issues of industrial policy and foreign trade, export credit and privatization. He currently works in the Advisory Department of the Executive Secretariat of the Ministry of Economy, with the following topics: fiscal policy, infrastructure and evaluation of public policies.
Paulo Henrique Mendes
Graduated in Economics from the University of Brasília (UnB) and Master in Economics from the University of Nottingham (UoN). He currently works in the General Coordination of Extra-regional Negotiations of the Foreign Trade Secretariat of the Ministry of Economy, working directly in trade negotiations to which Brazil and Mercosur are parties.
