PhD in Sociology and Politics from UFMG (2002), Master in Social Policy from the University of Southampton, Master in Sociology from Unicamp. Specialist in Public Policies and Government Management at the Ministry of Planning, Budget and Management. He was National Secretary of Income and Citizenship of the Ministry of Social Development and Combating Hunger (2012-2015), being directly responsible for managing the team of the Bolsa Família Program and the Single Registry for Social Programs of the Federal Government.
