IDP and the Purchasing Center of the Ministry of Economy launch the “Central na Academia” project
The IDP, in partnership with the Ministry of Economy shopping center, launches the project "Central in the Academy". The idea of the project is to bring the federal agency closer to the academic world and provides for technical cooperation that will allow us to demonstrate how public purchases centralized in the federal executive branch are made.
The project will include free lectures at the IDP, technical visits by the Institution's students to the body, carrying out research in partnership between the two institutions and the participation of teachers and students in monograph and thesis competitions on topics related to the Central of Shopping. Furthermore, the project envisages the creation of a Research Group at IDP focusing on Centralized Public Procurement, the first on this topic in Brazil.
For Dr. Virginia, Director of the Purchasing Center, the project brings benefits to institutions and society. "The rapprochement between Public Administration and the Academy is a necessary and mutually beneficial movement. For the administration, it will be an opportunity to have contact with current concepts and theories, oxygenate its processes, ideas and be exposed to new solutions, debates and collaborative constructions. The academy will be able to see an administration that challenges current stereotypes and paradigms and that seeks to innovate and bring efficiency to public contracts, in addition to realizing the rapprochement between theory and practice. And, for both, a path of advancement, studies and collaboration emerges. for improving management public", explains the Director.
For IDP students, the project is an opportunity to learn in practice the functioning of institutes that are often distant from their reality, as well as opening dialogues that foster the improvement of legal formation and public administration in issues related to public purchases, Thus helping in the preparation of students to enter public careers, the improvement of professionals and the training of researchers, consultants, leaders and political agents of excellence to work in the public sector and related areas.
