IDP carries out first IDP Internship
The program took students from the institution to intern in the best law firms in the country
During January, IDP students Mariana Aquino, Mateus Cruz, Roberto Raony and Amanda Falluh had the opportunity to intern in large offices in São Paulo through the first IDP Internship. During the period from January 21st to February 8th, students were challenged in the largest legal center in the country and worked in renowned national and international firms, such as Machado Meyer Advogados and Mundie Advogados.
Eighth semester student Amanda Falluh explains that the experience was her first contact with an internship at a law firm. “My first objective with applying to the program was to experience the environment of a law firm, having only interned in a public body and a private company. This objective was certainly fulfilled by interning at one of the largest and most well-regarded offices in Brazil.” explains the Graduate.
The student adds that the IDP Internship also allowed the student to create an affinity with a new area of Law. “Even with so many positive aspects, I believe that the most valuable thing for me, especially, was getting to know an area of Law that I identified with 100%, the area of Infrastructure. I intend to deepen my studies in this area and, regardless of the career I may follow, work in this branch of Law.” concludes the Student.
For the Undergraduate Coordinator, Lahis Rosa, this type of experience allows students to expand their experiences. “This type of project is important for students to learn about other perspectives of law, immersion in other institutions opens up a universe of new possibilities. Furthermore, when students go to other states they expand their contacts, experience and field of vision” explains the Professor.
