IDP opens submission of articles to PAPIN and PAGRUP
IDP has opened registration for the Scientific Initiation and Research Support Program - Papin and the Pagrup Research Group Support Program. The programs seek to assist students in research projects, competitions, research in research congresses and more. Project submission to Papin and Pagrup takes place until August 30th.
The fourth semester IDP student, Gabriel Souto, was one of those funded with PAPIN support for the article “ Digital Platforms: a necessary right for users and competitors of digital platforms " which was presented at The London School of Economics (LSE) at a conference held by the University of Oxford. “PAPIN was essential for my presentation and completion of the article as it made it possible to finance transport and accommodation”, explains the student.
Camilo Jreige, a 5th semester student, was financed by PAGRUP and has participated in several national and international competitions, such as the Vis Moot held in Vienna, and Debate competitions, where the student competed 2nd in Rio de Janeiro and 1st in Belo Horizonte. “PAGRUP, in addition to being extremely important from an individual perspective, is also a very cool instrument for the community as a whole. By encouraging the development of research and extension projects, new ideas and propositions can emerge and have a beneficial impact on society as a whole, whether inside or outside the legal environment”, explains the student.
For the coordinator of the IDP Research Center and master teacher Janete Ricken, Papin and Pagrup are fundamental in the student's academic background. “The programs promote the participation of students in academic events with presentation of articles and disputes in competitions. This type of incentive makes students interested in writing academic work and getting future publications, and also leads to what is being discussed academically in IDP for a debate in other institutions, with different lines of research, other authors, promoting The debate and knowledge production ”, concludes the teacher.
