IDP organizes event on Data Protection and Provisional Measure 869: Political Scenario and Regulatory Perspectives
IDP organizes the Data Protection Seminar on February 4 and Provisional Measure 869: political scenario and regulatory perspectives. The purpose of the event is to hold a round table on the National Data Protection Authority - ANPD, with speakers who participated directly in their legislative process, thus presenting their perspectives on the political and legal scenario of data protection. The event will be free.
For IDP Doctor and Professor, Laura Schertel, it is important that this topic is debated, due to the impact it can affect on citizens' daily lives. “The question we want to discuss is what is the impact of MP 869 on the topic of personal data protection and how actors from different sectors see this issue.”, Explains the Professor.
According to lawyer Fabrício da Mota Alves, the change of government raises questions on the subject. “As we have a new government and a new legislature, it is essential to understand how this will impact the construction and completion of the data protection regulatory framework”, explains the Jurist.
Participating in the event will be the former Deputy Head of Parliamentary Affairs of the Presidency of the Republic, Mariângela Fialek, the ABERT Consultant, Marcelo Bechara, the Doctor in Civil Law and Adjunct Professor at IDP and UNB, Laura Schertel, the Public Prosecutor and coordinator of the Commission of Personal Data Protection of the MPDFT, Frederico Meinberg and the Professor in Data Protection, Former parliamentary advisor in the Federal Senate, Fabrício da Mata Alves.
