IDP carries out mini-courses project for master’s degrees
IDP organizes the first “Open Space IDP” event in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the institution's master's program. In this first phase of the project, 10 free short courses will be offered, every Wednesday at 7 pm, from September 11th. The short courses will be emphasized current topics of public administration, law and economy, such as pension reform, design thinking, combating corruption and using big data in the public sector.
According to the Doctor in Economics and Coordinator of the Professional Master's Degree in Public Administration at IDP, Caio Resende, the project is the result of a partnership between the Postgraduate Schools in Public Administration, Law and Economics at IDP. "The Open Space is a way for IDP to contribute to the quality of public debate by offering society rigorous technical and scientific knowledge on current topics from the most different areas of knowledge", explains the professor.
The IDP constitutes an independent think tank that stimulates the development of ideas and the production of debates as a whole, therefore the project is aimed at spreading knowledge and contributing positively to society. As it has a faculty made up of great professionals, all mini-courses will be taught by Masters, Doctors and Post-Doctors from the IDP Master's Programs, such as the Legislative Consultant and Doctor in Economics, Pedro Nery, the former Minister of the CGU and Master in Law and Public Administration, Jorge Hage, and the Director of the Department of Consumer Protection and Defense – DPDC and Post-Doctor in Economics, Fernando Meneguin, among other prominent professionals.
Vacancies for the courses are limited. It is possible to check the schedule and make the registration on the site EspaCoAberto.idp.edu.br .
