IDP professor launches book on Constitutional Argumentation
This Friday, August 16, there is the release of the book “Constitutional Argumentation: a study on the deliberation in the constitutional courts” of IDP Professor André Rufino. In the work the author talks about the legal argument practiced in the constitutional courts. The book will be launched at Carpe Diem restaurant, at 104 Sul, from 19h to 22h.
The Book also presents interviews with great magistrates, both from the Federal Supreme Court and the Constitutional Court of Spain, such as ministers Gilmar Mendes, Marco Aurélio, Joaquim Barbosa, Manuel Aragón Reyes and Pablo Pérez Tremps, giving testimonies about the deliberation practices of these courts as they are experienced by its protagonists.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
André Rufino do Vale has a PhD in Law from the University of Alicante (Spain) and the University of Brasília. Post-doctorate with research internship at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and at the Centro de Estudios Políticos y Constitucionales in Spain. Master in Law from the University of Brasília and Master in Legal Argumentation from the University of Alicante. He was Minister's Advisor at the STF between 2005 and 2013, where he also served as Chief Advisor to the Presidency and Deputy Secretary General. At AGU, he was Director of DECOR/CGU and substitute General Consultant of the General Consultancy of the Union. Currently, he is part of the team of the Consultancy Department of the Federal Attorney General's Office and is a Professor of undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the Instituto Brasiliense of Public Law (IDP).
