Students of the Professional Master's Degree in Law, Justice and Development at IDP SP presented their dissertations this month
First IDP SP masters
The Professional Master's Degree in Law, Justice and Development at IDP São Paulo awarded the first Master's degrees in July 2020.
Student Luiz Gustavo da Silva presented a dissertation on the topic “Criminal Persecution as an Instrument for the Application of Tax Political Sanctions: a case study”, with an examining panel composed of Profª. Dr. Tatiana Aguiar, Prof. Dr. Maria Marinho and Prof. Dr. Celso Correia Neto.
The dissertation “Municipal Legislative Competence, Sustainability and the Replacement of Common Plastic Bags with Ecological Ones”, by Adriano Vidigal Martins, had an examining board composed of Prof. Dr. Marco Tulio Magalhaes, Prof. Dr. Eduardo Fortunato Bim and Prof. Dr. Flavio Unes.
Presented by Clarimar Santos, the dissertation “The Limits of the Sanctioning Competence of the Audit Courts” had an examining board composed of Prof. Dr. Flavio Unes, Prof. Dr. Gilmar Mendes and Prof. Dr Georges Abboud
Student Fernando Pessôa will present on 07/29 his dissertation “The Incident of Resolution of Repetitive Demands and the Superior Military Court: a study on the stability, legal security and predictability of military judicial decisions”
About the program
The Professional Master's Degree in Law, Justice and Development at IDP SP is a Stricto Sensu Postgraduate course, approved and recommended by CAPES, structured with a focus on the relationship between theory and practice. As it is an interdisciplinary program, the faculty has important names from different areas of study.
The program is open for registration until 14/08. The course is offered by IDP with all the institution's teaching excellence and infrastructure, in a privileged location in Brooklin Novo, in São Paulo.
Throughout the course, contemporary issues in legal science are problematized and investigated from a perspective that directly dialogues with the legal and social reality in which legal professionals work on a daily basis, with an emphasis on a methodology based on case studies that articulates knowledge theoretical to practice.
Graduates of the program obtain a Master's degree in Law, with all the benefits resulting from this academic title. The main difference between the IDP Professional Master's Degree and the Academic Master's Degree is the qualification focused on the exercise of advanced professional practice and the needs of the job market.
Format
The regular course is developed over 2 years, with bimonthly courses offered. The subjects are offered fortnightly, on Fridays and Saturdays, which allows interested parties to combine their participation in the master's degree with professional practice.
Process steps
The registration period runs until 14/08, with a call for interviews from this date onwards. The final result will be announced on 28/08, with registrations until 08/09 and classes expected to start in September.
