IDP students present work at CONPEDI National Congress
IDP law undergraduate students , Francisco José Tavares, Maria Clara de Albuquerque, Raquel Esther Mota, Raphael Diniz, Victoria Bittencourt, Viviane Xavier de Araujo and Maria Ruth Borges were invited to present her work at the XXVII National Congress of Conpedi in Porto JELLEY - RS. Students received support from the IDP Papin Scientific Initiation and Research Support Program The event took place from November 14th to 16th.
Undergraduate Law students, Maria Clara de Albuquerque, from the 6th semester, and Victoria Bittencourt', from the 5th semester, presented their work on the concept of human rights defenders for the Inter-American Court.
For undergraduates, this type of event encourages students to carry out more academic research. “I learned a lot from this experience of going to Conpedi, and it's also good to get recognition for the research we've been developing for over a year. This type of Congress encourages us to always seek new knowledge, after all, human beings are constantly learning.” Explains Victoria.
“It was a very good experience, I met a lot of people from the legal world and it really encouraged me to develop more academic research.” concludes Maria Clara.
For IDP teacher and CEPES coordinator - IDP Research Center, Janete Ricken This type of event helps in the students' dissemination of research, academic growth with networking and academic debate with suggestions given by evaluating teachers. "With this type of event, students realize the relevance of research and how they can contribute to solving society's problems."
