LAST DAYS FOR REGISTRATION FOR THE EXCHANGE IN ROME – UNIVERSITÀ DEGLI STUDI DI ROMA TRE
Registration for the course “Advanced Studies on Law, Politics and Comparative Economics: current experiences and perspectives in Europe” end February 3! The course will be held between April 19 and 22, 2022, at Università Degli Studi di Roma Tre.
For IDP Professor Marcelo do Val, internationalization is a differentiator for any professional working in the academic world or outside it. “It is a unique opportunity to experience the Italian academic environment, have contact with international professors and professionals, as well as the possibility of delving deeper into the country's culture and language through visits to various museums, castles, gastronomy and entertainment. The international experience expands the academic and professional universe for students and others interested in the course, contributing to the expansion of networking and the completion of work already developed in the Brazilian national scenario, enabling the carrying out of research, joint projects and opening paths for new exchanges”, explains the Professor.
So that you can enjoy the city in the best possible way, we've brought you some tips on what to do in Italy's capital!
With 2.8 million inhabitants in an area of 1,285.3 km², Rome is the largest Italian city and the fourth most populous city in the European Union, in addition to being one of the oldest continuously occupied cities in Europe, which is why it is known as " The Eternal City.” It is in fact a historic city that exerted a unique influence on both the development of the history and culture of Europeans for millennia, and on the construction of Western Civilization.
Its millennial history covers more than 2500 years, since its foundation in 753 BC, and makes thousands of tourists annually visit it, being a great tourist hub. In 2007, for example, it was the 11th most visited city in the world and the third most visited in the European Union .
Even to those who are not Catholics, it is worth highlighting the relevant influence that religion has in the city of Rome and the region! The capital is an important center of religious pilgrimage and, for centuries, it was the basis of the Roman religion with the Maximus Pontiff (Pontifex Maximus) and, later, as the seat of the Vatican and the Pope.
Located southeast of the historic center of Rome, the Vatican City is considered a "must go" for tourists.
In addition to a city -laden city, Rome can also be considered an open -air museum. Its historic center is classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, where it is possible to observe monuments and museums such as the Vatican Museums and the Coliseum, which are among the world's most visited tourist destinations.
During his history of over two thousand years, Rome has accumulated numerous and notable art treasures and unique archaeological heritage in the rest of the world. This feature of this city can be separated into two historical and culturally distinct components: ancient Rome, or also called classical, and papal Rome.
It is not 2022 that IDP and Roma TRE are international partners. Since 2018 institutions have been partner and promote exchange actions, promoting various experiences for students, teachers and researchers. These experiences range from short courses to class offers for semiannual and annual periods. The ease of understanding the Italian language is a facilitator and more than 30 IDP students have already participated in exchanges in Roma TRE!
The course spread over a week allows participants both an international experience and a brief immersion in the Italian city and culture!
The IDP seeks to provide students with internationalization experiences through agreements with nationally and internationally renowned universities, such as the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, the University of Macau, the University of Roma Tre, the Baiana University of Law and Management and the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, enabling the development of research, participation in projects and academic exchanges.
