The Master for IDP and Prosecutor Samuel Sales was invited to participate in the Constitutional Law Scholars Forum, Congress of Constitutional Law organized by Barry University, Florida (USA). In Congress, the prosecutor will talk about law and backlash, his master's thesis, in a more specific way, such as courts and social transformations. Congress is scheduled for March 1st.

Samuel explains that despite addressing his Masters in Law and Backlash, he will also address the North American context in the debate. ”The theme of my presentation has as its backdrop the Constitutional Courts and the claim to social transformation. Many Constitutional Courts strive to transform society, but empirical studies show that this intention is not a simple task. In Florida, my presentation will be a little more specific, because, based on this challenge already presented, I will address topics such as race and Social Psychology. The idea is to demonstrate some comparative studies between the STF and the North American Supreme Court”, explains the Master.

For the Writer, this type of event allows for a greater exchange of knowledge between researchers. “I feel happy for the opportunity to share my research with different legal communities (Brazil and abroad), because they all contribute to improvements. For example, in the United States, the legal community is different from that found in Eastern Europe. The thinking is different and the traditions are different. It's another enriching moment. They are different but complementary perspectives, in short: a critical audience allows us to improve research”, adds the Promoter.

For Samuel, the IDP was an important part of carrying out his work. “IDP has a first-world teaching structure. Everything is absolutely organized and the teachers are impeccable. This environment provides the ideal conditions for the development of any serious research in Law. In my case, in particular, I can mention the support and supervision of Professor Paulo Gonet”, concludes the Master.
