All Media #30 | Investigative Journalism, with Filipe Coutinho
Our interviewee today is one of the postgraduate professors in Investigative Journalism at IDP. Filipe Coutinho was an investigative reporter for 10 years, focusing on covering major operations by the Federal Police, the Judiciary and public administration bodies. He worked as a reporter at Folha de São Paulo, Época magazine, BuzzFeed News and Crusoé magazine. At the age of 25, he won the Esso Journalism Grand Prize, the biggest award in Brazilian journalism, along with other Folha colleagues. He is also the winner of a Folha Grand Prize and an Embratel Prize. In this episode he details how he got his main scoops, investigative journalism strategies and tips for those just starting out in the field.
