What does inequality have to do with space? In this special episode, the podcast welcomes Rafael
Pereira, the Ipea researcher who created the Access to Opportunities project – a super
mapping of opportunities in Brazil. He explains the usefulness of the initiative for
research in various areas and gives his impression of the results identified for 20
large Brazilian cities. With a PhD from Oxford, Rafael also presents the results of one
of his latest studies, on the role of inequality in the pandemic in São Paulo.
