Registration extended for the Exchange in Washington DC
The IDP opens the Notice for the Exchange in Washington DC The course Development policy in the global South: institutional, social and economic challenges , will be held between December 2nd and 13th, 2019 at the School of International Service at American University.
For IDP Professor Atalá Correia, internationalization is a differentiator for current Jurists. “It is a unique opportunity to experience the North American academic environment, have contact with international professors, in addition to getting to know the country's capital. The international experience opens doors for students, contributing to the work they are developing in Brazil, enabling research and opening paths for new exchanges”, explains the Professor.

So that you can enjoy the city in the best way possible, we've brought you some tips on what to do in the US capital during the course period. Check it out!
- December is winter in the United States, but that doesn't take away from the beauty of the capital Washington. During this season, snow brings beautiful landscapes to the city. The capital is all lit up and the White House Christmas tree becomes an attraction in itself.
- During the winter in Washington, and throughout the United States, it is common for skating rinks to open. Take the opportunity to have a little fun! 🙂
- You can also visit the National Air and Space Museum. It has a huge collection made up of ships and aircraft, old replicas, research centers and items such as the original plane that made the first controlled flight or a rock brought from Mars, as well as some collectibles and capsules.
- For art lovers, taking a tour of the National Art Gallery, located on the National Mall, is like a pot of gold, this being one of the 10 most visited art museums in the world.
- Most museums in Washington offer free admission.
And one more very important tip: don't forget to take some good warm clothes to enjoy the cold weather in the American capital!
The IDP seeks to provide its students with internationalization experiences through agreements with nationally and internationally renowned universities, such as the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, the University of Macau, the University of Roma Tre, the Baiana University of Law and Management and the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, enabling the development of research, participation in projects and academic exchanges.
