The Observatório de Precedentes Penais research group intends to analyze precedents of the Federal Supreme Court in criminal matters and criminal procedure, especially in terms of general repercussion and concentrated control of constitutionality, in addition to the growing importance of the formation of criminal jurisprudence in terms of habeas corpus.A Based on a systematic methodology for analyzing criminals, the group aims to form a consistent database to support theoretical and empirical research on criminal dogmatics and criminal procedure. Thus, the aim is to contribute to criminal dogmatics and to the construction of criminal procedural dogmatics in accordance with constitutional and conventional dictates for the effective protection of fundamental rights. – Fundamentals of constitutionality control and precedents in criminal matters: study of the premises of constitutionality control of criminal and criminal procedural laws, in addition to the formation and application of precedents in criminal matters; – Criminal dogmatics and precedents in material criminal law: systematic analysis of precedents in material criminal law and research in criminal dogmatics;
– Criminal procedural dogmatics and precedents in criminal proceedings: systematic analysis of precedents in criminal proceedings and research into criminal procedural dogmatics.
