The research project proposes to study the relationship between access to income and economically important spaces in the socio-political empowerment of women and the role of Law and Public Policies in this relationship. Feminist and economic development studies have crossed the perspective of increasing women's income with the strengthening of democracy and the reduction of social inequality. Invisible barriers (glass ceiling) reinforce inequalities between men and women and tend to be disregarded by the Law, which makes it difficult to legislatively produce mechanisms to combat such inequality. In parallel, the responsibility for domestic chores centered on women in a non-onerous or onerous way reaffirms gender social places and prevents women from advancing to spaces of power and decision-making.
