Seminar in Brasília brings together experts to discuss data protection and competition law
Specialists in data privacy and competition law will participate, on October 16, in the 2nd edition of the seminar “Privacy, Market and Competition: Perspectives for the Protection of Personal Data in Brazil”, which takes place in Brasilia, in the Institute's auditorium Brasiliense of Public Law (IDP). There will be 5 panels to discuss topics related to the National Data Protection Authority (ANPD), personal data protection and competition rights and self -regulation, among others.
The event is organized by professors Vinicius Marques de Carvalho, from the University of São Paulo (USP), and Laura Schertel, from IDP and the University of Brasília (UnB), who will open the event.
Also participating in the debates are professor Ana Frazão (UnB), the deputy chief economist at Cade, Patrícia Sakowiki, deputy Orlando Silva and the president of Public Knowledge, a North American organization that promotes freedom of expression, Gene Kimmelman. The seminar will also feature the participation of journalist Guilherme Pimenta and data scientist Daniel Marcelino, both from JOTA.
The 2nd edition of the Seminar takes place in the IDP auditorium located at SGAS Quadra 607. Module 49 . Via L2 Sul, from 8am to 7pm. The event is free.
