The IDP aims to make knowledge an instrument for transforming society, institutions and the Rule of Law. In addition to being widely disseminated at the Institute, this thought, which has become an institutional mantra, is put into practice on a daily basis, as all IDP studies and research are aimed at applying knowledge.

The Institute has developed Study Centers that produce reflections and work guided by the practical focus of knowledge. Likewise, it created, through CEPES, Study Groups and Research Groups equally oriented towards an applied academic axis.

This means that the themes addressed by both the Centers and the Groups are chosen for the effective usefulness they have in favor of improving society, institutions, the functioning of the State and the development of the country, and not just for the simple pleasure of the researchers.
