Study Group on Private International Law and the European Union promotes meetings open to the internal and external public, with biweekly meetings. In addition to meetings with lectures from the most varied professionals and professors in the area, the Study Group on Private International Law and the European Union aims to encourage student participation in research and academic production, supporting participation in national and international events, and the holding of research projects.
Analyze the content and purpose of private international law, through classics to post-modern theories, observing the current phenomenon of the internationalization of private life and the evolution of Brazilian private international law. Likewise, launch studies on the issues faced in a European Union context, taking care of the advances enshrined in the community legal framework and institutes such as migration policy and the non-refoulement principle, dual nationality and European Union citizenship.
