The new episode of Economisto, IDP's Economy and Public Policy podcast, is now live!

Economisto is IDP's economics and public policy podcast, where economist and professor Pedro Fernando Nery welcomes the country's greatest experts to debate the most diverse issues that impact our society: social inequality, education, social programs, state action, racism, gender inequality, elections and public policies are some of the topics that stand out.
The conversations feature the participation of big names on the international scene. Every week, a special guest joins the conversation. The first season, focused on the debate about inequality, already featured names such as the former president of the Central Bank Pérsio Arida to talk about the role of the State in combating inequality. After all, should the State be concerned with equal results or equal opportunities? With both? Or none?
And it doesn't stop there. Who better to talk about tax reform than the mentor of the proposal being discussed in the National Congress, Bernard Appy? Or to talk about liberalism and the fight against inequality than the president of Livres and former advisor to the BNDES presidency, Elena Landau? Also find out why Professor and Chair in Tax Law at Leeds University Rita de la Feria called our tax policy “extraordinarily horrible”, and much more.
Discussing these topics provides a greater basis for debating the future of the country. Be sure to deepen your knowledge about the economy, public policies and the future of Brazilian society by listening to Economisto, every week on the IDP podcast website and also available on the main aggregators.
