Who here doesn't leave Spotify because they're listening to several Podcasts? This new content production format has been gaining more and more consumers around the world. A survey carried out by IBOPE reported that around 40% of the internet population in Brazil - totaling 50 million Brazilians - have listened to podcasts.

And if there are so many things being listened to, they are certainly also being shared with friends! Sharing audio on Spotify has gained many possibilities in recent years, due to the high dissemination on social networks.

Social media integration

You probably took a screenshot of the Spotify player to post on Instagram stories. Seeing that many users share this way, the streaming service updated the sharing method and made it possible to publish the song link in stories. 

Today, it is possible to publish the entire podcast program, but there are times when we just want to share that part that had the most impact, right?! With this in mind, Spotify will begin releasing this function for iOS and Android users in the next app updates in the coming weeks.

Spotify innovates once again

After music and podcasts, the platform competed with Clubhouse and Twitter Spaces with a new audio social network: Greenroom. The application reached 135 countries, available free of charge for Android and iOS.

Unlike inserting podcasts into the streaming service, Greenroom works separately. The new audio chat app was presented as the evolution of Locker Room, from developer Betty Labs, which, in March, was purchased by Spotify. 

After gaining a new name and visual identity, Greenroom allows you to access themed chat rooms and also create your own space. Each room can have up to a thousand people participating at the same time.
