Be a Buddy!

The program for welcoming foreign students to the IDP “Be a Buddy” aims to help exchange students adapt to Brasília and the IDP. The idea is to formulate forms of assistance for each foreign student, who will be directed to a “Buddy” so that he or she can assist the exchange student with information about the city, about the IDP, information about transportation, even reception at the airport.

For IDP students, this is a program that provides cultural exchange and the creation of friendly relationships and academic partnerships.

IDP exchange students

Isabela Cristina Rodrigues de Carvalho
Law Student at IDP

“Even in difficult times of the pandemic, IDP continued to seek the best experiences for students. That's why I was able to do an online exchange and I'm very grateful for the opportunity to study at Universidade NOVA de Lisboa. I participated in relevant discussions that I had not had contact with in Brazil and met people with completely different views and experiences than mine. I feel like I've evolved as a person, I've learned things I didn't even imagine and I've broadened my view of the study of Law. I recommend everyone to seek at least one international academic experience during their degree.”

Inês Gonçalves Serra
New University of Lisbon, PORTUGAL

“My virtual mobility experience at IDP proved to be a very rewarding challenge. The proximity and dynamism of the professors, concerned with capturing our attention and interest, is a factor that really impressed me at this college. Also the fact of having the opportunity to learn more and more about the legal and social reality of Brazil, which in so many aspects differs from the Portuguese one, has immensely enriched my experience, resulting in a true dialogue of cultures.”
